Luc&Lou had their largest onesie donation to date this past month. In an effort to continue spreading their mission and give back across the United States Luc&Lou headed north to Pamona, New Jersey (just outside Atlantic City) to donate onesies to The AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center via the AtlantiCare Foundation. Currently, the onesies are being distributed to families delivering babies in the hospital’s Maternity Unit, NICU, and Newborn Nursery. The AtlantiCare Foundation in collaboration with hospital staff will continually identify specific families that are in need of the onesies. “Part of our company is making sure the onesies get to the right people at the right time” states Amanda Dubin-Rodriguez, co-founder of Luc&Lou. “It’s an amazing feeling knowing we can directly help these families and relieve some of the stress of taking home a new baby.”
For co-founders and NICU nurses Kelly Climie and Dubin-Rodriguez this donation was especially heartfelt. “Walking into AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center was similar to walking into our own South Florida- based hospital. There were babies being born all the time, and many of those families indicated a need for support” expressed Climie. “This experience further proved to us that the issues facing families are not localized and our work is far from over.” Expanding into new states across the country Luc&Lou plans to reach as many families as they can.
